SENIORS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT TOGETHER (S.A.L.T) is designed to promote personal safety of seniors by organizing community meetings and health/safety fairs. The main purpose of S.A.L.T is to prevent seniors from losing their life savings through scams and frauds. S.A.L.T is comprised of City Council members, police officers, civilian employees from law enforcement agencies and seniors. About 200 seniors attend the safety fair each year. Offerings include:
- Crime Prevention Presentations - Specialists are available to work with individuals and neighborhood groups in a variety of ways.
- Home Security Surveys – Learn how to make your property safer and more secure and less vulnerable.
- Personal Safety – Learn how to be more aware of potential dangers & how to avoid problematic situations.
